Artists

The 100k North @ Marmalades gallery has featured works from the artists listed below … and many more. We will continue developing this list and post our artist profiles (and hopefully some images).

Joanna Bacher – strong imagery that provokes different interpretations is Jo’s stock-in-trade; there’s always a message but we argue over what it might be!

Suzie Bates – a graduate in Fine Arts at VCA, Suzie has contributed two delicate and unique pieces that combine sculptural and painting forms.

Jan-Louise Brown – a member of the Victorian Artists Society who loves painting and drawing, Jan-Louise is about to retire and enjoy being an artist full-time.

Amy Carrick – photography takes on a new mood in Amy’s local pictures, with powerful use of light and shade.

Allan Christie – with a special insight into the artistic potential of wood, Allan brings us beautiful burl platters and bowls.

Joan Coles – a long-time resident of Yea, Joan’s fauna pastels are enchanting.

Myfanwy Davies – using mainly earthy tones, Myfanwy’s paintings, often large in scale, draw the viewer’s eye and mind.

Leone Gabrielle – recently completing her first solo exhibition, Leone’s work ranges from luminous and personal paintings to unique bronze sculptures.

Darren Gilbert – with an incredible eye for detail, Darren’s bird portraits astonish and his rust sculptures inspire the “I want” in all of us. Website
