Our Organisation
100k North Arts Inc. is an incorporated association comprising volunteers who love the Arts and are working to promote participation and enjoyment of everything from drawing and painting to singing and musical performance. Our first major event was the successful presentation of the Zelman Symphony at the Yea Shire Hall in September 2009. Since then we have organised a number of community singing events and workshops as well as a pen-and-ink workshop. In addition to the Town Art project (which resulted in the establishment of the 100k North @ Marmalades gallery), this year we’re planning to organise some artists’ conversations, musical performances, more community singing events and more art skills workshops. Our Name
Many people in the metropolitan area don’t really know how close our wonderful town is, so the name “100k North” is intended as a reminder. It’s really a very short trip to see us!
Copyright in the name “100k North” is vested in 100k North Arts Inc, however the Yea Business & Tourism Association is able to use the name and logo as required for tourism and economic promotion purposes.
